Denim and Hearts Bag

Lately every time I post about a bag I say it is the best bag I have ever made. This bag is right up there. I think it's personality is completely different from anything I have made.

It was also one of the hardest bags I have ever made. When you work with denim jeans there is lots of bulk. It can be really challenging to sew.

This is a closeup of the back of the jeans. These jeans were donated to me by my neice. It is a rather small bag because the jeans are size 6.

I added the fabric to the top of the jeans because the jeans themselves didn't want to be covered up. I think they would have lost their personality if I had covered any of the top of the jeans.

As always, I added a label.

I also added pockets lined with batting. They are my favorite kind of pocket to put in a bag.

There is also a key ring added to the side.

Another view of the back, my favorite part of the bag. Someone looked at this bag and commented that it looked store bought because of the jean label.

I LOVE this bag. I think it is going to be one that I carry myself. I don't think I can part with it.

Your bag is wonderful. I am busy (wasting time?) checking out the blogs of other people who have joined OPAM. It is great to see what others are up to.
