Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker - a new book by Jennifer Chiaverini

I wanted to tell you about a book I was asked to review, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker.  As you can imagine, it was very like Jennifer Chiaverini's other great books.

Here is the New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Chiaverini’s new historical novel - MRS. LINCOLN’S DRESSMARKER (on sale: 1/15/13). In her first departure from the Elm Creek Quilt series novel, Jennifer brings to life the important but often forgotten character of Mary Todd Lincoln’s dressmaker Elizabeth Keckley.
After buying her freedom, Elizabeth quickly became known as the most skilled seamstress in Washington DC; her handiwork catching the eye of Mrs. Lincoln. Aside from being her personal dressmaker, Elizabeth transitioned into being Mrs. Lincoln’s most trusted confidante, helping her through political scandal, the loss of her child, mental instability, her husband’s assassination, and her eventual poverty.

I hope you enjoy this book.  It is one of her best books.
