Midnight Flowers Kaleidoscope Quilt

This is my Kaleidoscope Quilt. I have loved this pattern. It was so easy to make. I also quilted it myself on my domestic sewing machine. It was part of the learning process of machine quilting.

This is the back. I used a green flannel. This helps you see the quilting. When you see the fronts, you will notice that I quilted around the flowers. I also put a feather in the setting triangles. I made this quilt last year, but forgot to post about it. I am better at feathers now.

Stippeling on the purple fabric.

Back of a quilted flower.

I always love a label.

See some of the fun kaleidoscopes.

Once again, the finished quilt. I have come so far in my quilting since I made this quilt, but I appreciate the things I have learned from doing this quilt. I think that following a printed pattern with your quilting teaches your hands to follow a line. It is one of the exercises I would recommend to learn to machine quilt.

I just love your quilt. I am enjoying the 4 patch design. The fabric you used is gorgeous.

Beautiful quilt Colleen!
Congratulations on the quilting too, that's such a big job using a standard machine.
I think your quilt tag is wonderful too!

I still think it should have been the "Purple People Eater" quilt.
