Desiree's Doll Quilt

It was Desiree's turn to get a doll quilt.  I let her choose which dresses from Dolly Dress Up that she wanted.
Her name on the quilt
The year it was made.
I just loved the way the back of the quilt turned out.
Pay day--that smile.

Cyndle's Doll Quilt

Cyndle let me know that I hadn't made her a doll quilt yet.  I went to my small quilt's started box and found these stars.  They were part of a quilt from my book, 101 Fabulous Rotary Cut Quilts.  In the book was the pattern for this fun border.
I like to quilt the name of the owner into my doll quilts.
I use a printed label for my doll quilts.
The quilting was stitch in the ditch and the lines in the light colors.  I think it gives movement to the quilt.

Brielle's Cowboy Doll Quilt

This doll quilt is the beginning of the Odds, Ends and Leftovers Quilt  by Gyleen Fitzgerald. I actually just started sewing squares together and when I finished I realized I had the middle of Gyleen's quilt done.  I decided to add the corners to make the doll quilt larger.  I never actually intended to make her whole quilt although it is a beautiful pattern.
The back is made just using my leftovers.  These fabrics are from my "I'd Rather Be a Cowboy" quilt.
A close up of the corner.
A close up of the center
I quilted the owner's name and the date in the corner.
As always, a label.  For whatever reason, my colors aren't true.  I think it is my camera.  They are much brighter and clear in person.

Eden's Zig Zag Doll Quilt

I love this doll quilt.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I made a larger quilt with this design.  These are my left overs.  There was enough left over for a doll quilt.
This is flannel on the back.  I wanted to try out some quilting on this quilt to see if I wanted to quilt the larger one this way.  It took me a day and a half to quilt this.  I am not sure I want to invest that much time in the larger quilt, but I sure love the quilting.

If you click on the photo you will see Eden's name and 2015 above the scollops.
Closer look at quilting.  I quilted the straight lines on my domestic machine and the scallops on my Tiara sit down machine.

The doll on this fabric looks just like Eden.

She loved her quilt so much.  After I gave it to her she walked around hugging it to her self.  That really makes a grandmother happy that she made her sweetie a quilt.

Doll Diaper Bags for my Grand Daughters

I fell in love with these hem stitched baby blankets.  I made one for each granddaughter.  It took me two or three years to make them all.  The daiper bag was just a cute way to deliver the blankets.  I got the idea from Vanessa Christiansen on "V and Co." blog.
I embroidered each girls name on thier blanket so she could remember which one was hers.
I hope they love them.  They were made with love.
I know everyone doesn't play with dolls still, but I wanted everyone to know I love them all just as much.

I forgot to take a picture of it, but there is a label on each blanket.
Baby wipes
Kleenex
Mirror and Comb.
Two baby bottles.
I hope they all feel the love that went in to each blanket.
Love, Grandma Lunt

Diaper Bags for Family Reunion Auction

I needed something for the family reunion auction and decided to make a little doll diaper bag.
I made the blankets from the self binding receiving blanket pattern only making it smaller.
You will notice the little burp rag.  It has a "rag" edging on it.
Included in the bag are 2 baby bottles, a doll comb and mirror, and baby wipes.
Here is another bag.
I was looking for a bag to use and found these cute Easter baskets.  I think they were perfect.  I hope to make 4 little girls really happy.

Audra's Doll Quilt

This Doll quilt was made as a sample of a quilt done by Missouri Star Quilt Company.  They have a video on line showing a whole quilt done with this method here.
I have chosen my quilting from a book by Angela Walters.  I love her quilting.  It is modern, fresh and youthful (all the things I am not!)
This is the quilting on one part of the star.
Angela have this beautiful fern type quilting.  I put it in this spare triangle.
I quilted the date right into the quilt.
The label shows I made it.
I quilted her name on it so years from now she will know I made this quilt for her.
 More quilting.
The back of those side triangles.
The quilting on the back.
I hope Audra will love this quilt.  I can't give it to her until I have one ready for her sister. This was a fun quilt to make.  I hope you all enjoyed looking at it.
